Every year, the company Mondelez applies a marketing action for Royal baking powder, a product with more than 50 years of trajectory and presence in Uruguayan homes. In the last editions, the focus had been on encouraging adults and children to experiment and share in the kitchen. Cruce was also responsible for the idea, design and graphic production of the new, but already classic, Royal cookbooks.
The main challenge was communicating the recipes in an innovative way, without repeating the formats used in previous editions. We wanted to encourage among families the reading habit and the pleasure of reading and cooking at home through the stimulation of kid’s imagination with amusing stories and allowing them to turn into delicious recipes what they can imagine.
The proposal was a collection of two children’s picture books, each with a story written and illustrated by national authors. The stories and the characters involve preparations or special ingredients, which serve as an excuse for presenting the recipes that appear in between as fold-outs. The claim? “Cooking stories, reading delights”.
